Airtel Money IPO: Airtel Africa Plc is planning to list its mobile money business - Airtel Money. According to a Bloomberg report, the company is reportedly working towards launching an initial public offering and listing on a European exchange.

The company could raise between USD 1.5 billion and USD 2 billion via IPO, said that Bloomberg report.

Airtel Money listing could place its valuation at around USD 10 billion. This would make it one of ⁠the largest ‌IPOs on a European exchange in recent years.

The report said that Citigroup is advising the company on the IPO. Besides, it has also roped in three or four additional banks to assist in the process.

Notably, the London-listed telecoms group had ‌earlier this year said that it is planning to list Airtel Money in the first half of the calendar year 2026.

Airtel Africa is owned by Bharti Enterprises, which is controlled by Indian billionaire Sunil Mittal.

Airtel Africa is Africa’s third ‑largest wireless in terms of subscriber base.
