Real estate Mumbai News: Real estate consultant Knight Frank has said that the registration of properties in Mumbai has hit a 14-year high in March 2026. As per data, the registration of properties increased by 3 per cent to 15,983 units.

Out of the total registrations in March 2026, the majority were for the residential properties.

In March 2025, the registration of properties in Mumbai stood at 15,510 units.

In February 2026, the registration of properties in Mumbai was at 13,029 units.

The area taken into account for the registration of properties falls under BMC jurisdiction. The data includes transactions in both primary and secondary markets.

"This marks the highest monthly registration volume for the month of March in the past 14 years, surpassing previous years high observed in March 2025, underscoring the continued depth and resilience of the city's residential market," Knight Frank said in a statement.

Knight Frank data showed that registration of residential properties remained high. Such registrations accounted for nearly 80 per cent of total registrations in Mumbai in the month of March 2026.

Notably, real estate is considered to be one of the most trusted investments and the surge in registrations is an indication that people consider real estate as a reliable asset.
